PEOSTA, Iowa -- Services for Francis C. "Frank" Driscoll, 80, of Monastery Road, Peosta, will be at 11:30 am Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Melleray, rural Peosta.

Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 528 of Cascade. Friends may call until 9 pm today at Hoffmann Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., Dubuque, where the rosary will be said at 4 p, and the wake service will be said at 7:30 pm.

Mr. Driscoll worked for the Dubuque County road maintenance department for 25 years. He owned and operated Driscoll Insurance Agency from 1957-76 and was an agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. for 33 years.

He was born on Jan. 15, 1911, in Bernard, son of William and Agnes (Healey) Driscoll. He died Tuesday morning, May 14, 1991, at home.

He married Grace Ellen Shanahan on Sept. 15, 1942, in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, South Garryowen; she survives.

He was an Army veteran, having served at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., from Oct. 21 1942 to Dec. 8, 1945. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and its rosary society, American Legion Post 528 of Cascade, Bernard Commercial Club and the Association of Agents of Northwestern Mutual Life. He was an avid sports fan.

Also surviving are five sons, Charles of Chesterfield, Mo., Patrick of Davenport, Robert of Denver, David of Dubuque and Kevin of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Beth Driscoll of New York City; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Mary) McAllister of Cascade and a brother, Harold "Dick" of Bernard.

Memorials may be given to Stonehill Care Center, New Melleray Abbey and Area Residential Care.
