Ruth C. Rehm

Ruth C. Rehm, 87, of 833 S. Starr Ave., died at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 1989, at her home.

Born Jan. 22, 1902, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John and Dora Miller Mewes. She married Henry A. Rehm Jr. July 12, 1922, in Burlington. He died in 1978.

She was a former dietician in the Klein Memorial Hospital for 10 years. She was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Burlington, and the church's ladies aide society.

Surviving are one son, Warren "Shorty" Rehm, Cantril; one brother, Walter Mewes, Burlington; three sisters, Margaret Schrader, Denmark, Iowa, Dorothy Pfadenhauer, Burlington, and Gertrude Stevens, Burlington; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today until the time of service.

The service for Mrs. Rehm will be at 1:30 p.m. today at King Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison, with the Rev. Darryl Bockting officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, rural Fort Madison.

A memorial has been established for the ladies aide society.
