YARMOUTH - A pioneer of the New London community, 104-year old Mrs. Lena Amelia Kolkman, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday, March 7, at Burlington Medical Center.

She was born July 18, 1878, to Anton and Caroline Fricke Totemeier. She married Edward W. Kolkman March 8, 1905, at New London; he died earlier.

She was a resident of Yarmouth and a member of the Yarmouth Baptist Church.

Surviving: Two sons, Delbert L. Kolkman, Yarmouth, and Howard L. Kolkman, Winfield; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Elliott Chapel in New London, the Rev. Ronald Wigand; Trinity Cemetery.
