MONMOUTH, Ill. - Michael Wagler, 74, of Little York, Ill., formerly of Burlington, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, April 4 at Monmouth Nursing Home.
He was born April 10, 1906, in Burlington the son of Christian and Mary Huber Wagler. He married Thelma Warren on Nov. 12, 1927, at Muscatine; she died Nov. 1, 1980.
He operated a grain elevator at Little York, was a director of the Little York State Bank and was a member of the Methodist Church there.
Surviving: one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Yager, Omaha, Neb.; five brothers, Joseph, Denver, Colo., Ben, Robert, U.D. and Paul, all of Burlington; one sister, Mrs. Tillie Frank, Mediapolis; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Lunning Chapel, Rev. Wayne Nordstrom; Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial for Little York Methodist Church has been established.
