Mrs. Hazel Hightower

Mrs. Hazel Delores Hightower, 38, Burlington Rt. 3, died in Burlington hospital at 1:15 a.m. Friday (July 4, 1969). Death, terminated a long illness.

She was the daughter of Harry and Stella Ruschill Lucas of Sperry, and was born March 14, 1931, in Burlington. She was married to James Hightower in Burlington on July 3, 1948.

Mrs. Hightower was an employee of IRC for 10 years.

Surviving: Her parents; the husband; son, Charles Hightower, at home; daughters, Mrs. Janice Fenton, Marion, and Mrs. Donna Diercks, Burlington Rt. 2; brothers, Marvin Lucas, Hopkinton; Wilbur, Lucas, Troy; Allan Lucas, Crawfordsville; Russell Lucas, West Burlington, and Lloyd Lucas, Burlington, and sisters, Mrs. Shirley Granaman, Mrs. Marcille Krieger, and Mrs. Erma Baker, all of Sperry.

Services: Elliott-Lunning Chapel Monday at 11 a.m., the Rev. Arno Frerichs, Memorial Park cemetery. A memorial fund for the benefit of the Cancer Society has been established.
