Mrs. Wagler, 65, Succumbs After Lengthy Illness

Mrs. Mary L. Wagler, 65, of 508 West Fifth street, died at her home at 2 a.m. today after an extended illness.

She was born Aug. 21, 1890 in Drury township, Rock Island county, being a daughter of William N. and Rachel Roseman Carrithers. She had been a resident of Muscatine for 40 years.

She was married to Phillip Wagler Oct. 12, 1910 at Muscatine. Mrs. Wagler was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Surviving are her husband, four sons, Clarence, Delbert, Donald and Robert Wagler, all of Muscatine; three daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Symmonds, Mrs. Mildred Courtois and Mrs. Phyllis Shield, all of Muscatine; one brother, Warner Carrithers of Buffalo, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. Mercy Hinkley, Muscatine, and Mrs. Myrtle Wagler of Burlington. Twenty-three grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one sister.

Funeral services are scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fairbanks chapel. Burial will be at Drury-Reynolds cemetery in Illinois.

The body is at the Fairbanks Home for Funerals.
