Clara Hadler

Clara A. Hadler, 88, of Mediapolis, died Friday, April 18, at the Bethesda Care Center, Mediapolis.

She was born Aug. 7, 1897, in Des Moines County, to Herman and Anna Timmerman Miller. She married Albert A. Hadler April 7, 1920, in Des Moines County; he died in 1973.

She was a housewife, a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Mediapolis, United Presbyterian Women, and the Golden Hour Study Club.

Surviving are three sons, Richard, Ann Arbor, Mich., Robert, Holt Summit, Mo., and Ronald, Mediapolis; one daughter, Marilyn Vierling, Mediapolis; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Ethel Nesius, Burlington.

Services for Mrs. Hadler will be 10 a.m. Monday at the First United Presbyterian Church, Mediapolis, with the Rev. Dale Hempen officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery.

A memorial has been established at Fry Funeral Chapel in Mediapolis.
