Mr. Lucille Ray, Mother of 6, Dies

Mrs. Lucille Ray, 125 N. Adams street, died at 10:20 p. m. Monday in Mercy hospital at the time of the birth of a son, who survives. She is the mother of 5 other children. She had been a hospital patient for a monty.

She was born in Ft. Madison Oct. 27, 1912, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carey Anderson, and was united in marriage with Monroe Ray at Ft. Madison July 13, 1929. She was a member of St. John's AME church.

Surviving are her husband; 6 children, Helen, John, Dorothy, Mary, Parl and Louis; 2 brothers, Merrill Anderson, in the army, and Harold Anderson of Burlington; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Marsh of Ft. Madison; her fother [sic], Carey Anderson.

The body is at Prugh's chapel. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
