GEORGE HILL, 86, FORMER RESIDENT, DIES IN WISCONSIN
George Hill, 86, former resident of Burlington, died yesterday at his home in Appleton, Wis. The body will arrive in Burlington Sunday afternoon and be taken to Prugh's chapel.
George Hill was a blacksmith and horse shoer by trade. In the year of 1888, he obtained a position as locomotive foreman on the Burlington railroad and pursued that calling until he left Burlington some 25 years ago. He is survived by six children, Walter, of Silvis, Ill., Oliver, of Blue Island, Ill., Thomas, of Appleton, Wis., Charles and John and Mrs. Maude Casey, of California.
