George E. Walker

George Earl Walker, 87, of Tama Road, Burlington, Died at 1:20 a.m., Wednesday, March 15, at St. Francis hospital.

Mr. Walker was born June 7, 1884, in rural Des Moines County, the son of Harvey and Tillie Huffman Walker and was married Jan. 2, 1907, in Mediapolis.

He was a farmer and member of the Methodist church.

Surviving: the wife,Martha, Tama Road; five daughters, Mrs. Flossie Mustard, Mrs. Frances Davis, Mrs. Zelma VanEtton and Leveta Burch, all of Burlington, and Mrs. Ruth Ashby of Wever; five sons, Earl, Delmer and Leaford, all of Burlington, Harvey, Sperry rural, and Warren, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.; and one brother, Wallace, Sperry, rural; 26 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 2p.m., Friday, Giles-Elliott funeral home; Rev. John Vickers; Memorial Park cemetery.
