MRS. MESMER PASSES AWAY

Well Known Burlington Resident One of Oldest Members of St. John's Church

Mrs. Agatha Mesmer, 93, of 118 N. Gunnison street, one of the oldest members of St. John's Catholic church, died at her home this morning after a serious illness of 10 days.

Mrs. Mesmer was the widow of the late Chris Mesmer. She was born May 15, 1841, in Alsace-Lorraine, but came to Burlington with her parents when she was a small girl. She lived here ever since.

Surviving is one daughter and three sons; Mrs. Edith Manning, Burlington; Charles U. Mesmer,Burlington; Leo, St. Louis, Mo., and Otto, North Platte, Neb. Twelve grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.

Prominent in her church, Mrs. Mesmer also had a wide aquaintance throughout the city. She was a member of the Altar society of St. John's church. She had been in ill health for some time.

Services will be held Monday at an hour to be decided later.
The body is at the residence.
