BURLINGTON CITY.
(P. O. BURLINGTON)

DEMLING, JOHN, dealer in groceries and provisions, feed, etc., cor. 6th and Division sts.; born Feb. 23, 1837, in Germany ; came to America in 1849 ; to Burlington in 1850. Was elected Alderman in 1873; served two years; declined serving a second time. Married Sept. 8, 1857, to Sophia Schuers ; they have three children— Charles, Louisa and John. Republican; member of the First Lutheran Church.
