Funeral Services were held Thursday, Sept. 20, for Francis Wheeler, well known farmer of Coffins Grove township, who passed away Sept. 17 at his home after a long illness. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at Masonville. Rev. F.C. Griewe, pastor of the church, had charge of the services and burial was made Hopkinton. Mr. Wheeler was born in Haynesburg, N.Y., February 18, 1859, and grew to manhood there. At the age of 16 he came west and located in the vicinity of Buck Creek and engaged in farming. His marriage to Addie M. Dighton occurred at Hopkinton, Sept. 26, 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago. In 1906 Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler moved from Buck Creek to Coffin's Grove township, which has been the home since. Mr. Wheeler is survived by his wife, two sons, B.F. Wheeler of St. Louis and Lawrence A. Wheeler of Lamont, and two daughters, Mrs. Grace E. Lane of Manchester and Mrs. Velma Wolmutt of Masonville
