Naomi (Lee) Redden, daughter of William E. and Carrie (Cartwright) Lee was born on a farm near Davis City, Iowa, Oct. 3, 1908, and died July 31, 1981, of a circulatory ailment Friday at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, at the age of 72 years.

Service was August 3 at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines, and burial and graveside service was in the Leon Cemetery.

She attended Stringtown Country School and graduated from Davis City High School.

She was a member of Davis City Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Baptist Church in Des Moines.

She was married to C.L. (Chet) Martindale of Leon in 1929 where they resided several years, later moving to Des Moines, where they made their home for many years.

Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Chet in 1964; her parents; and one sister, Ruth Bailey in 1976.

Survivors include a son, Larry Martindale, and daughter-in-law, Betty, and two grandchildren, Julee and Garret, Des Moines; a sister, Marguarite Clark, and brother-in-law, Darrel R. Clark of Chariton, Iowa; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
