"Set Leon Rites For John Neal"
Services for John M. Neal, 45, of Cross Lake, Minn., a former Des Moines resident, will be at 2 p. m. Friday at the Frank Stuart Funeral Home in Leon. Burial will be in the cemetery at Lamoni.

Mr. Neal and a Des Moines couple Mr. and Mrs. Julius Neufner, 1423 Boyd ave., were drowned Sunday in a boat accident on Rush Lake, near Brainerd, Minn. His wife, Juanita Neal, was rescued while clinging to the capsized boat.

Born in Des Moines*, Mr. Neal moved to Cross Lake about a year ago. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Masonic lodge.

Surviving, besides his widow, are three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Evans of Des Moines, Mrs. Stella Kushner of Corydon and Mrs. Willa Sloan of Cambria, and three brothers, Harry of Des Moines, Leo of Lineville and Wilbur of Maquoketa.
