James Marcus Robbins, 68, lifelong farmer of Salt Creek township in Davis county, died at his home at 7:40 o’clock this (Thursday) morning. He had been ill for some time. A son of Phillip and Anna Robins, he was born April 9, 1875, on the same farm where his death occurred, and he had never resided any place else but on the Salt Creek township farm. Surviving are Mrs. Robbins and one brother, William Robbins, of Ottumwa. The body is being held at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, until time for the funeral service which will be at the Mt. Gilead church, northeast of Bloomfield at 11 o’clock Saturday morning. The Rev. Arthur M. Eastman, pastor of the Bloomfield Methodist church, will be in charge of the final rites and interment will be made at the Mt. Gilead cemetery. The family has requested no flowers.
