Cecil C. Hewitt 52, of Bloomfield Route 3 died Aug 19, 1992 at 4:45 a.m. at University Hospitals in Iowa City.  He was born May 22, 1940 in Davis County to Emitt and Jessie Cargbaugh Hewitt.  He married Virgina Kellogg on June 5, 1962, in Davis County.  He was raised and educated in Davis County graduating from Eldon High School in 1958.  He was a farmer and worked for Rockwell International in Fairfield for 10 years. He is survived by his wife; two sons Bryan of Fort Madison and Travis of Albia; two daughters Lavinia Steenberg of Keokuk and Lana Cosgrove of Hamilton, Illinois; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Flavena Mellory and Janice Sullivan both of Newton, Mary McSparen of Eddyville, Lucille Hootman of Floris and Virginia Ashmore of Ottumwa and five brothers, Arlo and Keith both of Bloomfield, Charles of Monroe, Rex of Newton and Elwood of Houston, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don and Roscoe; and a sister, Eloise Hewitt.  The service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at Campbell-Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon, the Rev. Richard Friend Officiating.  Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery near Eldon.
