Lena Faye (Walker) Smith

Lena Fay (Walker) Smith of Ontario, Calif., died suddenly January 18, 1975, at her home. She had been in failing health for some time but her death was unexpected.

She was born May 22, 1904, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to James and Mabel Spurgeon Walker.

She was united in marriage to Forrest E. Smith November 24, 1926, in Centerville, Iowa. They lived on a farm for several years, then moved to Ottumwa where they lived until the spring of 1966 when they moved to Ontario, California, where they have since lived.

Faye was educated in the Davis County schools. She was affiliated with the M.E. Church where she was a faithful member and worker.

One daughter was born to them.

Mourning her death are her husband, Forrest, her daughter, Laural L., and son-in-law, Earl Miller, three grandsons, Dennis Harman of Montclair, Calif., Steve Harman, Monte and granddaughters, Lisa Miller and Becki Glaziner of Ontario, Calif., and one great-grandson, Denny, Harman, two sisters, Lelia Southern of Moulton, Iowa, Wilda Boggs of Ontario, Calif., three brothers, Glenn and DeWitt Walker of Peoria, Ill., and Don Walker of Ottumwa, Iowa, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Smith of Onatrio, California.
