John F. Combs, 60, entered into eternal life on June 22, 2009. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Point of Grace Church, 305 NE Dartmoor Dr., Waukee, IA. Visitation will begin at 1 a.m., one hour prior to service time at the church.

John loved fishing, boating and hunting.

John will be missed by his wife, Judy of Johnston; children, Carrie Gustaveson of Adel; Roger Gustaveson of Dexter, Johnny (Vickie) Woodford of Jefferson, and Sherri Woodford of Des Moines; grandchildren, Justin, Courtney, Kurtis, Tyler, Allison, Ashley, Danny, Tony, Rachel, Shanna, and Ashley; one great-grandson, Brandon; brothers, Jim (Vickie) Combs, Jr. of DeSoto, and Bob Combs of Flagler; sisters, Pat (Ron) Hutchins of Stuart, and Lorie (Don) Moore of Stuart, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marlowe Combs, and brother, Jerry Combs.

John was an awesome husband, dad, brother, grandpa and friend.
