Rites At Kiron Saturday 17 Nov 1965

Kiron... Axel Leonard Bloom, son of Alfred and Lottie Bloom was born Sept. 30, 1884. He attended school in Ida County and was confirmed as a young man in the Christian faith.

Feb 26, 1913, he married Selma Carlson. They had one daughter, Doris. They lived in Hayes Township, Ida County for 18 years before moving to Kiron, where he was living at the time of his death Nov 17, 1965, at the age of 81 years, one month and 17 days.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his daughter, Doris and son-in-law, LeRoy Schelldorf; two grandchildren, Janet, Mrs. Dean Norelius of Rockwell City and Harlee Schelldorf of Omaha; one great grandson, Danny Norelius; one sister, Alice Bloom of Denver, Colo; one brother, Claus Bloom of Emmett, North Dakota.

Memorial services were held at the Evangelical Free Church of Kiron Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. officiated by Rev. Paul Nelson. Reuben Lindskoog sang "Have Thine Own Way" and Reuben and Wayne Lindskoog sang "Beyond The Sunset" accompanied by Mrs. Richard Gustafson as organist.

Pallbearers were Arthur Anderson, Kermit Benson, Warren Carlson, R. H. Hewitt, Jebel Mauritz, and Reuben Tellgren. Interment was in the Kiron cemetery.
