Funeral services for John Warren Bair, 65, of Odebolt, were at 2 p.m. Monday in the Odebolt United Methodist church. He died Thursday, 5 March 1992, at a Sioux City hospital. The Rev. Harold Schirm officiated with burial in the Hayes Township cemetery. The Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home of Odebolt was in charge of Arrangements.

Mr. Bair was born 15 April 1926 at Arthur, Iowa, the son of Warren O. and Elsie (Johnson) Bair. he was a World War II veteran. He graduated from Ida Grove High School in 1944. He married Jane England 14 August 1954 in Sioux City. They moved into Odebolt in 1983. He farmed south of Arthur for many years, retiring last year. He was a rural mail carrier out of Odebolt for over 20 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Ben Hur Lodge 611 AF & AM of Arthur and of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Jane; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Jennifer) Lehrman of Newton; two sons, John E. Bair of Carroll and James A. Bair of Rockville, Md.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Dorothy) Horton of Elk Point, S.D. and Mrs. Ivan (Donna) How of Montrose, Colo; and a brother, Robert Bair, of Preston, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents.
