Wasn't being critical of your post Cindy. Newbie or old salt, sometimes we all need suggestions or reminders as we research. Put John's past on the back burner for now. Might even find a stone that reads "born in County XYZ Ireland". You will learn quickly & continually as you progrss in your research. Take it slow & easy, one specific record at a time. Better to post 10 specific requests & receive 10 beneficial responses than to post one vague or Piggy-backed requests & receive none. Dick
