CLINTON — Fredrick G. “Pete” Walling, 71, of Clinton, died Friday, January 16, 2009, at Mercy Living Center South, Clinton, IA. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at the South Chapel of Lemke Funeral Homes, Clinton, IA. Pastor Rita Wolf, co-pastor of The Bridge at Beans in Sterling, Ill., will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at the South Chapel of the Lemke Funeral Homes, Clinton, IA. Interment will be Springdale Cemetery, Clinton, IA. Memorials will be established. He was born December 14, 1937, in Clinton, IA, to Gerald W. and Clarrisa (Daniels) Walling. He attended the Clinton, IA, schools. He was employed as an auto body man, specializing in restoring antique and classic cars. Survivors include one son, Ken (Kim) Walling of Fulton, IL; two grandsons, Cameron and Xander Walling; two sisters, Sherry (Edward) Brown of Clinton, IA, and Jeanne (Carlos) Morales of Cordova, IL. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lawerance D. Walling. Death date: Jan. 16, 2009
