DAZEY, N.D. — Kenneth R. Miller, 67, Dazey, ND, and formerly of Clinton, IA, was called to the Lord on Thursday, January 15, 2009. He passed away in MeritCare Palliative Care South University Hospital, Fargo, ND. Kenneth Robert Miller, the youngest child of Jurgen and Eva (Matthew) Miller, was born August 29, 1941, in Clinton, IA. He attended Clinton schools and graduated from Clinton High School in 1957. Kenny married Beatrice Piatz on August 20, 1984, in Devils Lake, ND. They lived in Clinton where he worked at International Paper from June 1959 until he retired from there after 43 years. They moved to Dazey in May of 2002. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, his grandchildren and helping out on the farm.Kenny is survived by his wife, Beatrice Miller, Dazey, ND; five children, Brenda (Duane) Miller-Sampson, Scott (Gina) Miller, both of Clinton, IA, Otto Weispfenning (Julie), Phoenix, AZ, Jim (Cathy) Weispfenning, and Tina Zuidema (Ed Zuidema), both of Clinton, IA; nine grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Hubbart, Clinton, IA; two brothers, Richard (Donna) Miller, Clinton, IA, and Donald (Lois) Miller, Searcy, AR; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Eva and Jurgen; one sister, Janet Miller in 1937; and one brother, Jerry Miller in 2000.Funeral services will be held 10:30 Tuesday, January 20, 2009, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dazey, ND. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 Monday, January 19, 2009, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dazey, ND, and will continue one hour prior to services in the church. Prayer service will be held 7:00 Monday, January 19, 2009 in the church.
