In Loving Memory 1912 - 2008 Irene Johnson, 96, of Clinton, IA, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, in Clinton, IA. Services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, January 2, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig on Friday, January 2, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Johnson, Brian, Dale and Arnie Fenzel and Glen and Marty Wislef. She was born on Friday, August 2, 1912, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Ernie and Inez (Dawson) Hosette. She married Robert Johnson in 1952 in Clinton, Iowa; he died in 1993. She was a homemaker. She had also been employed at the Rich Toy Factory and as a painter at Climax. Survivors include her daughters, Donna Jordan and Inez Fenzel both of Clinton; her son, Bob Johnson of Clinton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jack (Sadie) Hosette of Clinton, IA. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jack Jacobsen; 4 sisters and 4 brothers. Memorials may be made to the family.
