CLINTON — Robert A. Fowler, age 54, of Clinton, died Sunday Jan. 18, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. According to family wishes, cremation rites have taken place and private family memorial services will be held at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Robert was born on Nov. 22, 1954, in Morrison, IL, the son of Charles and Eleanor (Huycke) Fowler. He graduated from Morrison High School in 1973. He was a sergeant with the U.S. Air Force as a medic from 1973-1979. He worked as a metal worker in various factories in the Clinton area. He married Marta Hodnett on Feb. 14, 1986, in Clinton. Robert is survived by his wife, Marta Fowler of Clinton; a daughter, Jessica (Andy) Silva of Aurora, IL; two sons, Robert E. Fowler of Boston, MA, and Jeremy A. Fowler of La Mirada, CA; two grandsons, A.J. and Alex; and a brother, Charles E. (June) Fowler of Morrison, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.Death date: Jan. 18, 2009
