DELMAR — Dylan Peter Christian Andersen, 3-month-old son of Andy and Tracia Andersen, Delmar, died Thursday afternoon, January 8, 2009, at Jackson County Regional Medical Center, Maquoketa. Dylan was born September 30, 2008, in Davenport. Although his time was short, Dylan made an impact on the entire family and will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. Surviving are his parents; a brother, Brady; grandparents, Pamela and David Schau, Calamus, and Donna and Jim Miller, DeWitt, and Arlen and Rosie Andersen, DeWitt; great-grandparents, Betty Schau, Calamus, Betty Denahy, Wheatland, Lois and Gerald Franzen, Maquoketa, Joyce and Arnold Andersen, Clinton; aunts and uncles, Tania and Luke Bentley, Tara Schau, Jacy Schau, Carey and Ben Arndt, Angie Holt, Angie and Scott Thomsen, A.J. Andersen, Trenton Tieso and Ian Tieso as well as numerous cousins. Preceding Dylan in death were great-grandparents, Marvin Schau and Marion Denahy. The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home DeWitt, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt, with the Rev. Jeff Wartgow officiating. Pallbearers will be uncles of Dylan: A.J. Andersen, Trenton Tieso, Ian Tieso, Ben Arndt, Scott Thomsen and Luke Bentley.
