Laura Marie Young, 84, of Clinton, died Thursday at Mercy North Hospital, Clinton. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM today. Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Broadrick, Don Sweeney, Richard Sweeney, Bill Broadrick, Tom Broadrick, Matt Broadrick, Sandra Engleking and grandchildren Aaron and Rachel Young.

She was born Dec 18, 1918 in Clinton to Seneca F. and Mary Kelchner Keeley. She married Orville H. Young on June 20, 1942 in Clinton. She was a 1936 graduate of Clinton High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was employed as a lab secretary with the former St. Joseph Mercy Hospital from 1965 until retiring in 1981.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Sharon K. Young of Commerce Twnsp, MI, on son, Larry L Young of Davenport; two grandchildren; and one sister, Zella Thompson of Baldwin, ND.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, five sisters, one brother and her parents. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church
