The Clinton Herald March 26, 1932 p. 5 J.T. Petersen, 444 Sixteenth avenue, South, died at 2 p.m. March 25 from heart failure. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the home with Rev. George W. Krueger of the Zion Lutheran church officiating. John Thomas Petersen was born Jan. 12, 1856 in Husum, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. He came to this country in 1886 passing most of his life in Clinton where he was engaged in the meat business. Of his immediate family he is survived by his wife and children, Mrs. Sam Gordon, Mrs. John Stevenson and Miss Jual Petersen, Chicago; Mrs. Clara McKinley, Mrs. Ann Bell, and Mrs. Charles Krieger and Thomas Petersen, Clinton and William Petersen of Racine. There are seven grandchildren.
