The Clinton Herald Tuesday April 12, 1938 p. 5 Mrs. Anna S. Petersen, 81, of 258 Twenty-First place, who had lived in the same Clinton home for 50 years died at 6:50 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. George W. Krueger of Zion Lutheran church at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the home. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Mrs. Petersen was a member of the Danish sisterhood and of Zion church. She was born Dec. 5, 1856, the daughter of Hans and Anna Hansen of Schleswig, Holstein, Germany. She leaves five children, Hans H.., C.A.and Jens Petersen and Mrs. C.A. Van Drew, all of Clinton, and A.C. Petersen of East Peoria, Ill., fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were three daughters, Mathilda, Jesena and Mrs. Henry Lass; a son, Martin, and her husband, April 25, 1926.
