Marion Louise Zittergruen, 78, died suddenly May 22, 2006, in her home. Private memorial services will be held at St John Congregational Church in Garber. Inurnment will be in Mount Harmony Cemetery, rural Garber. Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 15, 1928, in Elkader, to Frederick and Caroline(Glawe) Knoke.

Survivors include her children, Susan (Paul) Jahnke of Cedar Rapids, Jean Powers (Rod Moser) of Guttenburg, John Zittergruen of Mason City, Kathy (Francis) Connelly of Mason City and Tracy (Brad) Reed of Durant; grandchildren Andrew Jahnke, Tony VanLennep, Chad VanLennep, Jessie Weber, Kristy Morrison, Vicki VanLennep, Melissa Zittergruen, Gina Connelly, Dana Connely and Kyle Connelly;
and great grandchildren Deserai, Danielle and Corey Weber, Jasmine Zittergruen,
Alec Connelly and Natalie Connelly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; and two sons, James and Edward
