Gazette, The (Cedar Rapids-Iowa City, IA) March 3, 1997

Elmer Albert Zittergruen, 87, died of cancer Saturday night, March 1, 1997. in Central Hospital, Elkader. Private memorial services and burial will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Marion; a son, John of Mason City; and four daughters, Susan Grey of Cedar Rapids, Jean VanLennep of Guttenburg, Kathy Connelly of Mason City and Tracy Reed of Wilton.
