Miss Pauline Heck, 79, of 280 Bluff street, formerly of McGregor, died after an illness of three weeks at 7 o'clock Monday evening in Mercy hospital.
The body is at the Ashworth and Bennett funeral home, where friends may call after 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. At 2:30 Thursday afternoon the remains will be transferred to the Pilkington funeral home in McGregor.
Services will be held at 9:30 Friday morning in St. Mary's church, McGregor with burial in the church cemetery.
Miss Heck was born March 20, 1868, at McGregor, and was educated at McGregor High school and Gustoff Larson college, Boston, Mass. She taught in the New York public schools for 35 years, coming to Dubuque 11 years ago.
She was a member of St. Raphael's cathedral parish.
Survivors include one brother, Rudolph S. Heck, Minneapolis, several nieces and nephews. Miss Heck was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
