Father O'Byrne, of Elkader, died on Tuesday (yesterday).

Note: The 1882 History of Clayton County, chapter XXIV notes that he was among the first pastors to conduct services in the Sacred Heart church in Cox Creek, he succeeded Father Nagel, and was in turn succeeded by Father Quigley.
