Elkader Register, 10 Aug. 1893.

The death of Mrs. James Adams, on Wednesday, Aug. 2nd, which we briefly chronicled last week, left a stricken father and two children to mourn the loss of a wife and mother. Mrs. Adams was aged 23 years, and had been married some six years. The funeral services on Thursday were conducted by Rev. R. C. Lusk at the Universalist church, and the remains laid away in the east side cemetery, attended by a large number of relatives and friends. The bereaved family has the sympathy of all.
