OBITUARY
Henry Becker was born February 6, 1860, in Buck Creek, Iowa, Garnavillo township.
His occupation was farm laborer until he became so effected with rheumatism that he was forced to retire, when he came to make his home with his half brother, Louis Krugger where he passed away February 7, 1934, at the age of 74 years and 1 day.
He leaves to mourn one sister, Mrs. George Johnson of Ollie, Montana, and one brother, Louis Krugger, of Giard, besides many nieces and nephews. Two sisters and one brother have preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 Friday afternoon at the Louis Krugger home. Burial was made in the Giard cemetery. The Rev. M. J. Harder of Garnavillo officiated.
Out of town attendants to the funeral of Henry Becker were: Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Vogt and twins of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Fred Ferguson of McGregor.

LOUIS KRUGGER[TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: Heinrich Becker was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church on 20 Feb. 1867 (book 1, p. 205, no. 4), and his birthdate was recorded as 6 Feb. 1860. His parents were Joachim Becker and Maria Edelmann, whose marriage was recorded at the same church, married on 20 Jan. 1859 (book 1, p. 90, no. 1), with the residence of the groom given as Buck Creek.]
