Louis Krugger Rites at Monona

Louis Karl Krugger died at his home in Giard, at 7 p. m. Wednesday, April 26, at the age of 72 years.

He was born February 17, 1878 in Bagley, Wisconsin, a son of Frederick and Mary (Newman) Krugger. He was baptized and christened in the Zion Lutheran church in Bagley and spent his youth in that vicinity.

In 1902 he came to Iowa and became united in marriage to Mrs. Anna Becker in 1908. To this union were born two sons, Lester and LeRoy of McGregor, and a daughter (Emma) Mrs. Wm. Lindemann, of Chicago, all of whom survive. Also surviving are three step-children, Robert and Arnold Becker of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Fred Ferguson of McGregor, one sister, Mrs. George Johnson of Ollie, Montana, ten grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 29, in the Schultz funeral parlor, Monona, with the Rev. F. Starke, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran church of McGregor, officiating. Burial was in the Giard cemetery. / Pallbearers were Gilbert and Irvin Meyer, David Olmsted, Ed. Koether, Alfred Beyer and Oscar Allert.

Out of town relatives attending were Robert and Arnold Becker of Milwaukee, John and Lon Wilson and Mrs. Louise Troxel of Prairie du Chien, Ed Hauschen of Clayton, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mueller of Clermont and Mr. and Mrs. George Wander of Castalia.
