Elkader Register, 31 Dec. 1885.

James Kegan, aged 65 years, an old resident of this county, died at North McGregor, on the 23rd. He leaves a wife and daughter.

James Kegan, aged 65 years, an old resident of this county, died at North McGregor, yesterday. He leaves a wife and daughter.

Funeral to-day; buried in Catholic cemetery.

Deceased was a hard working, industrious man, highly thought of and greatly appreciated. His loss is severely felt in the community in which he has so long lived.
