Church, Susan Josephine died 1866

DIED. In this city on the 11th inst., of Diarrhoea, Josephine, wife of L.F. Church, aged 19 years and 11 months.

Deceased had been among us but a short time and during that time had won many warm friends who with a large circle of relatives mourn her loss.

She left one child about twenty months old in the care of a father who has the sympathy of an entire community.

Church left on Sunday P.M. for New York, where he will leave his little boy, the only remaining pledge of a happy union but recently severed, in the care of relatives who will watch over the youth with the same care the lost one was wont to do when bright pictures of hope were as promising to her in the future as there are to-day for any now on earth.

- Josephine & L.F. are buried in Evergreen cemetery, Prairie du Chien, WI. Her gravestone is inscribed:
