Elkader Register, 21 Oct. 1881.

DIED.

At the home of her parents in Elkport, Thursday, Oct. 13th, 1881, of typhoid fever Nellie L., oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Stahl; aged 15 years, 2 months and 15 days.

Nellie was taken sick about two weeks before her death, and seemed to be on a fair way to recovery, but on Wednesday night she was taken with a congestive chill in which she died. Nellie was a bright, good and noble girl, the flower of the family. She was highly respected and beloved for her many good qualities of heart and mind. On Thursday afternoon funeral services were held at the home of her parents, after which the remains were taken to Volga City for burial. Mr. and Mrs. Stahl have the heartfelt sympathies of a host of friends, in their sad affliction.
