Elkader Register, 18 July 1878.

DIED.

In Lodomillo Township, on Thursday, July 11th, 1878, of heart disease, Miss Virginia Stalnaker, aged 20 years.

The deceased had been sick for some time and very little hope was entertained of her recovery. She bore the long suffering with great fortitude. Of an amiable disposition, loved by all who knew her, her loss is keenly felt in the community. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hicks, and a large number followed Virginia to the resting place beside her parents who had preceded her to the happy home.
