Clayton County Journal, 13 Dec. 1871. From Strawberry Point, dated 11 Dec. 1871.

Mr. Barrett, an old gentleman of this place, died very suddenly on Wednesday evening last, after sawing wood all day and eating a hearty supper, while enjoying himself with his grandchildren that had gathered around him, he fell from his chair dead. Such is the uncertainty of life.
