Another Drowned.
Hardly had the citizens turned from the dead body of Culliner before news came that a Mr. Blockstein, living at St. Johns or Maeder's mills was that morning drowned in the Volga river a short distance below the grist mill. He went from his boarding house before breakfast, toward the river, which was the last seen of him. Not appearing at the breakfast table the family became alarmed; a search was made and his cloths were soon discovered on the bank of the river at the place above mentioned, and his body near by in an eddy. It is supposed he went in to bathe and from some unknown cause was drowned. Our informant states that not long since he had sent money to Germany for his wife and children who are now on their way to this country to meet husband and father. What a sore disappointment awaits them.
