Mrs. Mertle A. Kaberle, 78, died at 2:00 p.m. in her residence in Strawberry Point on July 06, 1954 following a long illness. Born Feb. 14, 1876, at Strawberry Point, Iowa, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Cole. On Nov. 06, 1907, she was united in marriage with Henry Kaberle at Strawberry Point where she lived the greater part of her life. She had a high school education and her interests were flowers, needle work, and the Methodist church of which she was a member.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1938, her parents and four brothers. Survivors are her two sons, Bert and W. L. of Strawberry Point, and three grandsons, Larry, Daryl and William, all of Strawberry Point.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 08, at 2:00 p.m. at the Gill chapel in Strawberry Point with the Rev. Wayne Carlson, officiating. Interment was at Strawberry Point cemetery.
