Funeral services for Miss Anna Steeman were held Wednesday, June 09, 1954 at 1:30 p.m. at the Garnavillo funeral home. Interment was in the Clayton Center cemetery. Pastor L. C. Urlaub of the St. Paul's Evangelical church of Garnavillo officiated at the service.
Pallbearers were: Otto Schultz, Bonduel, Wis., Clarence Hoffman, St. Olaf, Louis Bauer, Guttenberg, Elmer Henry, Garnavillo and Arno Mueller and Harry Schulte, Elkader.
Anna Steeman was born Jan. 30, 1891, in Garnavillo. She was baptized June 13 the same year, by the Rev. S. W. Fuchs at the Immanuel Lutheran church at Elkport. She died Monday morning, June 07, 1954, at the age of 63 years 04 months and 07 days.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Kohr, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Alice Sommer, Bonduel, Wis., and two brothers, John Steeman of Waterloo and Henry Steeman of Elgin, other relatives and friends.
Miss Steeman was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Steeman, three brothers and one sister.
