DIED - At Clayton, Iowa, on the 18th inst., Charlotte E., wife of Duncan McCallum, of Clayton, and daughter of Joel and Philantha B. Morrison, of this city, aged 15 years and two months.
Peace to thy dust in silent shade;
May sister angels guard thy head,
Till Gabriel's trump shall bid thee rise
To meet the Saviour in the skies.It is a warning to us all,
Prepare to meet Christ at his call'
For soon in Judgement he will come,
And gather all his people home.

- Marriage of Duncan McCallum, age 29 & Sharlott Morrison occurred 4/18/1864 at Guttenberg
- Speculation by contributor: Her first or middle name 'could' have been Louisa Morrison, age 11, living w/a P. Morrison, female, age 39 in McGregor; enumerated in 1860. They are in the Rob't Stephenson household. Also, a John Morrison, age 35, tailor, living in a hotel in McGregor.
- Charlotte may be buried in the Clayton cemetery.
- In January & February 1865 issues of The Weekly North Iowa Times, were published "Original Notices" reading, in part: "Philantha B. Morrison vs Joel Morrison ... a petition of Philanthia B. Morrison, claiming of you a divorce"More information about Charlotte would be appreciated. Please post a reply if you can help.
