Services for Walter R. Jennings, 34, of Cedar Rapids were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church at Garber. The Witt funeral home of Elkader was in charge. Burial was in Mt. Harmony Cemetery. The Rev. G. E. Hesse officiated.

Mr. Jennings died Sunday evening after a heart attack while enroute to a Cedar Rapids hospital by ambulance.

He was born at Garber April 01, 1920, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jennings. He served during World War II with the 96th Infantry Division and has been employed the past two years at Cedar Rapids.

Survivors are his parents, a brother, Clyde of Garber, and a sister, Mrs. Vernon (Inez) Akers of Cedar Rapids.
