DIED - On Thursday, April 7th, in this city, of small pox, Mrs. Birch, a widow, leaving several small children.

Note: Eleanor was w/o John Birch, soldier of Co. G, 21st IA Infantry. John died in Post Hospital, New Orleans, in Nov. 1863. See his biography for more info. about John & Eleanor & their children.
