Funeral services for Mrs. William F. Linderwell, 63, were held at Emanuel Lutheran church in Strawberry Point on Saturday afternoon, July 14, with the Rev. S. J. Meyer conducting the services. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery with the Gill funeral service making arrangements.
Margaret G. Kray was born in Jones county, Iowa, on August 05, 1892, the daughter of George and Gretchen Gerdes Kray. On Dec. 18, 1912, she was married to William Linderwell and the couple farmed southwest of Strawberry Point until retiring about seven years ago, when they moved to Strawberry Point. She suffered a stroke on Tuesday and was taken to Mercy hospital in Oelwein, where she died Wednesday afternoon.
Survivors include her husband of Strawberry Point; a son, Harold Linderwell, and three grandchildren of Strawberry Point; a brother, John Kray, of Arlington; and two sisters, Mrs. George (Etta) Burrack of Arlington and Mrs. Henry (Ella) Knake of Strawberry Point.
