Mrs. Carl H. Meyer, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Glawe, was born Sept. 20, 1911, in Farmersburg township and died at her home in Read township after an illness of several months.

Mrs. Meyer lived in Clayton county her entire life. She received her education in the rural schools and was baptized and confirmed in Zion Lutheran church at Clayton Center, and at the time of her death was a member of Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader.

On July 31, 1935, she was married to Carl H. Meyer at Guttenberg. Since Dec. 30, 1950, Mr. and Mrs. Meyer have lived on the farm on which she died.

Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by an infant daughter in 1936 and her mother in 1955.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Keith and Gene, one brother, Reuben of St. Olaf, and her father of Elkader.

Funeral services were held at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church, Monday, July 16, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.
